Button

We bought a bird! Okay, I bought a bird. We had a flock of love birds come by our house, about 10 - 20 of them. They were so beautiful. It made us all think of having a bird. Trenton convinced me to go look at them. We went to the bird store by MCC, it was amazing. So many birds, so loud, all talking and screaming. They were every shape and size and color. Wow, like going to the zoo. I loved looking at them and found out that birds have gone up in price since I bought one in 1985. Russ and I had two birds when we were first married, Fred and Ethel. Then we had kids and the noisy birds had to go. We left the store, Trent, Annie, Lynnsi, and I, and decided to stop at the little bird shop down on Country Club. What a difference. So clean, quiet, nice people. We looked around and talked to the lady there. I asked her what kind of bird she would suggest for our family. We all waited while she thought, and looked at us, and then told us she would suggest her sweetie. Button! We knew she was the bird for us as soon as we held her(and called Russ to convince him that that was NOT "a whole lot of money for a bird!". She has been so fun. We are all in a race to see who can teach her to say something first. Will it be a whistle? Pretty bird? I love you? We will see. She will never be a loud talker. She loves to ride on our sholders all over the house, She loves to hide in Annies hair, sadly she loves, on occasion, to bite ears. They say she will live for 20+ years so you may have a chance to meet her next time you stop by.
